Here at River Root Counseling, we love groups! We have seen firsthand how beneficial groups are, and how group members can help change lives. Group therapy can help with a variety of issues, and can often-times be more powerful and life-changing than just individual work. The sense of belongingness, the connections you make with others who have a shared experience, and the support you give and get from the group members can truly be inspiring. At River Root Counseling, our groups, like our clinicians, are geared for the perinatal population. We offer group counseling for individuals who are trying to conceive, pregnant, or within the first few years postpartum and adjusting to parenthood. All of our groups are held at our office in Uniontown, Ohio. There are a few spots left for our July, 2022 session “Morphing to Mama” for perinatal and postpartum moms (babies in lap welcome) and we are taking insurance for that session.

Danielle Older, MSW, LISW-S, CCTP
Danielle is one of our maternal mental health therapists and the founder of River Root Counseling. Her therapeutic style is individual, evidence-based, and unique to best serve each individual client. Danielle will work with you, at your pace, cheering you on and empowering you as you accomplish your therapeutic goals. Danielle values the therapeutic relationship and works to make each session beneficial and helpful for her clients. Danielle is a mother herself, and understands the roller coaster that parenting and motherhood can sometimes feel like.
Stephanie Separ-Beavers, MSW, LISW-S
Stephanie is one of our maternal mental health therapists. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and solution focused. Stephanie works with her client as a team, starting right where the client is and working together towards the end goal. Stephanie values the therapeutic relationship she has with each of her clients, and understands that this is the sole most important thing in counseling. Alongside Stephanie’s professional expertise and training, she is a mother herself, and has experienced first hand the joys and challenges that accompany parenting.
Denise Henault, MA, LPC
Denise is one of our therapists. Denise’s therapeutic style is collaborative, individualized, and client-focused. She believes that you, as the client, have the answers that you need to solve the problems that you face, and will guide you to find out what they are, providing support and resources along the way. Denise believes that you are the expert of your own life, and strives to fully, accurately, and compassionately understand and connect with each of her clients.
Danielle Mcleod, MA, LPCC
Danielle is one of our mental health therapists. She believes in utilizing a holistic approach when working with clients. Danielle uses a variety of interventions, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), to help clients reach their individualized goals.
