River Root Counseling offers self pay rates for clients with insurance we do not accept or for clients who choose not to utilize insurance benefits for counseling. To inquire on self pay rates, please contact us. If finances are a concern or barrier for you, reach out to us to discuss your specific needs and we will do our best to support you.
Fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change based on fair market analysis.
Payment Types
We accept HSA/FSA cards, CareCredit, and all major credit cards for payments. If we are in network with your insurance, we will bill your insurance unless otherwise indicated.

No Medicaid plans are currently accepted.
If your insurance is not listed above, you may be eligible for “out of network” benefits. With out of network benefits, you are responsible for payment at the time of your appointment. Upon request, we can give you something called a “superbill” which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. You will need to contact your insurance provider to determine if you have out of network benefits, and any deductibles that might apply.

Cancellation Policy
We ask that you cancel 24 hours before your appointment. You can call, email, or text your therapist to cancel. If we do not hear from you 24 hours before your session, you will be charged the full rate for your session. If something last minute comes up preventing you from attending your session, please contact your therapist to reschedule ASAP. If rescheduled within the same week, no cancellation charges will be applied.
