About Jenni
Jennifer is a dedicated Maternal Mental Health Therapist at River Root Counseling, where she supports clients through a wide range of challenges. She has a particular passion for working with individuals experiencing loss, grief, and life adjustments. Jennifer takes a holistic approach to therapy, drawing from multiple modalities to meet clients where they are and provide care tailored to each person’s unique needs. She believes that every individual has the inner strength to lead their own path, and sometimes, all it takes is compassionate support to guide them along the way.
Therapeutic Style
For Jennifer, the relationship between therapist and client is central. From the very first session, she strives to create an authentic, comforting, and safe environment, walking alongside clients on their healing journey. Beyond her professional expertise, Jennifer brings a lived understanding of parenting and motherhood, offering empathy and insight into the complexities of family life.
Experience
Jennifer has extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients across different stages of life, including children, adolescents, college-aged individuals, adults, veterans, neurodivergence, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She has also facilitated group sessions, integrating her broad experience to foster understanding and growth. Jennifer has also received training created for Maternal Mental Health through a nationally recognized organization the Seleni Institute which is dedicated to advancing perinatal mental health.
