About Jennifer
Jennifer is one of our Mental Health Therapists at River Root. She enjoys working with all clients, however, finds a special interest working with clients who have/are experiencing loss, grief, and concerns related to adjustment. She believes in using a Holistic therapeutic approach in counseling. With this she is able to pull from many modalities, meeting the client where they are at, and providing care based on the specific needs of each individual. She believes that every individual has it within them to lead their own path, but just might need support along the way.
Therapeutic Style
Jennifer feels that the relationship between a therapist and a client is of the utmost importance. From day one she works to cultivate an authentic, comforting and safe environment, walking beside you in your healing journey. Beyond Jennifer’s professional scope, she understands the whirlwind motion of parenting and motherhood, having children of her own.
Experience
Jennifer has had vast experience working with a variety of individuals, in both a therapeutic and non-therapeutic state. She has had experience with but not limited to: children, adolescents, college aged individuals, adults, veterans, neurodivergence, members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as groups.
Jennifer has been a parent/mother herself for many years now. She understands the “ups”, “downs”, and the “everything in between,” that comes with parenting. She hopes that her lifetime of personal experience and professional training will be beneficial to you as you navigate your journey in healing.
