About Andreá
Andreá’s style combines motivational interviewing and solution focused lenses with a personal focus on each individual wants, needs, and goals. She believes you know you best, you are doing the best you can with your situation, and she is here to support you in a way that helps you grow and meet your goals. She likes to walk with you by meeting you wherever you are at on your journey, listen to you, challenge you, and cheer you on. She also blends strategies from multiple evidence based therapies and modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy strategies, dialectical behavioral therapy strategies, trauma informed techniques, and trust based relational techniques.
Therapeutic Style
Andreá uses humor and likes to try to make counseling a safe comfortable place. She recognizes it can be difficult and uncomfortable to put yourself out there and honors that. She is predictable in that she will ask for updates, ask about what you would like to work on or talk about, and after processing concerns she likes collaborate on solutions if possible. She finds many times you know your own answers when given the opportunity to work through a problem.
