Danielle is one of our maternal mental health therapists and the founder of River Root Counseling. Her therapeutic style is individual, evidence-based, and unique to best serve each individual client. Danielle will work with you, at your pace, cheering you on and empowering you as you accomplish your therapeutic goals. Danielle values the therapeutic relationship and works to make each session beneficial and helpful for her clients. Danielle is a mother herself, and understands the roller coaster that parenting and motherhood can sometimes feel like.

Stephanie is one of our maternal mental health therapists. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and solution focused. Stephanie works with her client as a team, starting right where the client is and working together towards the end goal. Stephanie values the therapeutic relationship she has with each of her clients, and understands that this is the sole most important thing in counseling. Alongside Stephanie’s professional expertise and training, she is a mother herself, and has experienced first hand the joys and challenges that accompany parenting.

Jennifer is one of our Mental Health Therapists at River Root. She enjoys working with all clients, however, finds a special interest working with clients who have/are experiencing loss, grief, and concerns related to adjustment. She believes in using a Holistic therapeutic approach in counseling. With this she is able to pull from many modalities, meeting the client where they are at, and providing care based on the specific needs of each individual. She believes that every individual has it within them to lead their own path, but just might need support along the way.

Andreá’s style combines motivational interviewing and solution focused lenses with a personal focus on each individual wants, needs, and goals. She believes you know you best, you are doing the best you can with your situation, and she is here to support you in a way that helps you grow and meet your goals. She likes to walk with you by meeting you wherever you are at on your journey, listen to you, challenge you, and cheer you on. She also blends strategies from multiple evidence based therapies and modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy strategies, dialectical behavioral therapy strategies, trauma informed techniques, and trust based relational techniques.

Sam values connecting with each person she counsels and desires to understand and empathize with each individual’s unique experience. It is always her aim to help those she cares for to feel seen and understood as well as more confident and courageous in their own ability to overcome the challenges of life. She uses multiple evidence-based therapies and modalities depending on each person’s needs and goals. Sam is also passionate about infant development and sleep and is completing training in infant mental health as well as baby wellness and sleep. Along with her passion and training, Sam is a mother herself and understands the challenges that can be faced with adjusting to becoming a parent.

Macey is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping women feel seen and supported through the many seasons of motherhood. From pregnancy and postpartum to step-parenting, fostering, or adoption, she knows that stepping into motherhood doesn’t come with a manual and often brings up pieces of ourselves we didn’t expect. For many women, this stage of life can surface old wounds, challenge relationships, and stir questions about identity and self-worth, all while learning to care for someone.

Nik is our Office Manager. She loves empowering mothers to build their “village” and to seek help when struggling physically, mentally, or spiritually. As a mom to four littles (including twins), she knows the struggles women can face during their perinatal period and beyond. She will always strive to assist with finding the right clinician to meet your individual needs. Nik’s passion truly lies in obstetrics and reproductive gynecology and the post-partum period. Off the clock, you can find her hiking, tending to her chickens, or in the kitchen making bulk meals to stock her freezer.
